Rotary Golf Tournament A Success

The annual Jim Osborne Memorial Golf Classic at  Tashua Knolls Golf Club went off very well on Monday September 12. Over 28 foursomes entered the Newtown Rotary Club tournament. A low gross prize was awarded, but the two hole-in-one prizes (a car and $10,000) went unclaimed. After dinner, 40 raffle prizes were awarded and many exceptional items were auctioned off … including a large, framed, autographed picture of Tiger Woods. The profits for the event will be awarded to Family Counseling Center, Kevin’s Community Center and Shelter of the Cross to help them continue in their endeavors to service needing people in our area.
