Doctor Talks About Menopause

NEW MILFORD — Gynecologist Claudia Johnson, MD, will discuss “Hot Flash! Changes During Menopause” on Tuesday, October 11, from 6:15 to 8:30 pm, in the New Milford Hospital Robison Conference Rooms

Dr Johnson will discuss typical symptoms of menopause, including hot flashes and night sweats, changes in cholesterol levels, osteoporosis, and drying or thinning of vaginal tissues. She will provide information on how to treat symptoms and cope with long-term effects.

Her talk includes information on prescription and nonprescription therapies, including complementary medicine, explaining how different women have different needs.

Prior to the talk, participants can take free heart health risk assessments and breast health demonstrations.
