Navigating The College Admissions Process
BHA Education Consultants is offering a free interactive and educational presentation followed by a question and answer session the college admissions process at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library on Tuesday, October 18, from 7 to 8:30 pm.
The seminar is presented by Dr Paul Lowe, founder and president of BHA Education Consultants, a college/graduate admissions and career advisor, education consultant, and author of the quarterly newsletter Getting In. Dr Lowe is also a parent who understands and has experienced the college admissions process as a parent. This seminar is designed to shed light on the complexities of the college admissions process.
Some of the topics covered in the seminar are: the high school maze, selecting the right high school courses, standardized test preparation, choosing the right college, college applications and essays, and how to distinguish oneself from thousands of other qualified applicants.
Dr Lowe has traveled extensively to speak with parents, students, guidance counselors, and admission professionals regarding national trends in college and graduate school admissions.
Dr Lowe conducts college admissions workshops and seminars throughout the tri-state area and was a presenter at the Summer At Brown Pre-College Program, the Conference on Higher Education, and the Ivy League Forum. He has led panel discussions and staff developments for college as well as guidance counselors.
