Chloe’s Not-So-Excellent Adventure

It was a close call for Chloe the mannequin, but she is back in her corner at Bonnie Frederick’s Hair Company on Church Hill Road after a hair-raising experience last Wednesday night.

Seated outside the shop to enjoy the autumn evening, she was kidnapped, and discovered hanging from a tree outside of the professional building at the corner of Washington and Riverside Roads the next morning, the victim of an early Halloween prank.

Before Newtown police could solve their missing persons report, the dangling Chloe, a bit too disturbing an image for the therapist housed in the building, was cut down. Petie Grosso, who works at Hair Company, rescued Chloe from the bushes and brought her back to the hair salon, where she received lots of TLC from stylists Lisa Dolyak, Debbie Vargas, and Meg Tingsley.

“She cracked her arms a little,” said Ms Dolyak of Chloe’s adventure, “so she’ll be wearing long sleeves from now on.”
