Sandy Hook resident Suzanne Davenport will be at Everything Newtown on Church Hill Road from noon until 2 pm on Friday, December 13, signing copies of the just-released Letters from Sandy Hook-Newtown to the World. The time has been changed from its original start time to avoid a conflict with another possible event.

In addition, she will be at Byrd’s Books, 213 Greenwood Avenue in Bethel, that afternoon from 5 to 7 pm. An incorrect time for the latter event was provided for a story that ran last week.

Letters from Sandy Hook-Newtown to the World features letters from residents about life in Newtown. The collection is about life in town, and not just about the events or aftereffects of 12/14. It was compiled and edited by Ms Davenport, and was officially released on December 10.

Some letter writers chose to write about how they were affected by the events of 12/14, but many more wrote about growing up in Newtown, places in town, interesting people who have lived and played in town, and thoughts on how Sandy Hook and Newtown shaped the lives of many.

The book sells for $29.95, and all proceeds will be donated to The Newtown Memorial Fund.

In addition to the two events on December 13, Ms Davenport is also scheduled to be at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, on Wednesday, December 18, from 4 to 6:30 pm.

Compiled and edited by Sandy Hook resident Suzanne Davenport, Letters from Sandy Hook-Newtown to the World has arrived and will be released by the end of the week.
