Briscoe Baldwin Lang, Sr

Briscoe Baldwin Lang, Sr, 79, of Newtown, died peacefully in Northport, N.Y., June 6, after a short illness. His wife Marilynn and his three children were with him. Mr Lang was born December 27, 1932, in Glen Ridge, N.J., the son of William C. and Juliet Clark Lang.

A graduate of Dartmouth College, Mr Lang also served in the United States Air Force.

He married Marilynn Mattson of Denver in 1958 and had been a resident of Newtown for 42 years. He was well loved and respected by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, his son Fred of Newtown; his daughter Susan of Woodbury; his son Briscoe Jr, and daughter-in-law Grace, of Cumberland, R.I.; a brother, William C. “Bud” Lang, and his wife Frances, of Warwick, R.I., as well as three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins survive Mr Lang. He was predeceased by his sister, Juliet.

Calling hours were scheduled at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Thursday, June 14, from 3 to 5 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. Burial will be private.
