25th Annual Flanders Fall Festival Set For October 2
WOODBURY â Just why is Flanders Nature Center & Land Trustâs annual Fall Festival one of Woodburyâs most popular celebrations and more successful traditions, hosting over 2,000 attendees last year?
The answer can be found on Sunday, October 2, between 10 am and 4 pm at the Van Vleck Farm Sanctuary, at the corner of Flanders and Church Hill Roads. Thatâs when Flanders will be hosting its 25th presentation of this much-anticipated event.
Geared to interest visitors of all ages. the festival includes a wide assortment of crafts, exhibits, events, entertainment, displays, demonstrations, art, kidsâ crafts, and food from area organizations. Also on hand will be a Woodbury fire truck for photo opts, as well as Smokey Bear.
The festival will also feature performers of magic, music, singing and story telling. There will be fun fall activities such as shuttle hay rides and pony rides, live farm animals, and birds of prey. Â Over 50 exhibitors will be on hand to display arts and crafts as well as a variety of demonstrations including chair making, corn harvesting, garden plowing, maple syrup processing, wool spinning, apple pressing, flower arranging, and even bee keeping.
Admission is $7 per adult, $3 for children ages 6-12, and free for children ages 5 and under. The event will run rain or shine.
