A RETURN TO NEW HAVEN: The Cabaret at Chow has become a popular spot in New Haven, especially when Newtowner Amber Edwards is at the microphone and Andy Rubenoff is at the piano. On Sunday night, January 29, the place was packed for the duo’s program, “Street of Dreams: The Crossroads Between Tin Pan Alley and The Great White Way,” their new show of classic songs that celebrate the joys, and follies, of love. And what better way to spend Valentine’s Day, February 14, when they return to Chow for “Isn’t It Romantic.” Chow is at 962 Chapel Street (telephone 203-772-3002), and reservations are necessary. There will be two shows that evening, at 6:30 and 8:30.
