A Kind And Gentle Man

Emilio “Elmer” Ralph Ballerini, 90, of Woodstock, Va., widower of Virginia Ballerini, died April 1. Mr Ballerini was born October 29, 1916 in Fairfield, Conn. He was the son of David and Adelle Rivoli Ballerini.

Mr Ballerini formerly was a resident of Newtown for many years. He built more than 200 homes in Newtown and Sandy Hook. His greatest love of Newtown, though, was his years spent as manager of the Medridge Farm owned by the Wassermans.

Mr Ballerini is survived by a son, David Ballerini of Bethany; a daughter, Carol Connor of Mount Jackson, Va.; two sisters, Caroline “Kate” Ballerini and Josephine Schultz, both of Fairfield; a brother, David Ballerini of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be scheduled at a future date.
