Helen Douglas Drew, 81, beloved wife of the late Donald Drew and the late William Douglas, Sr, died on February 19 in Williamsburg, Penn.
She was a longtime resident of Sandy Hook, where she was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked at Fairfield Hills Hospital for many years as charge nurse until her retirement. She was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church.
Mrs Drew is survived by her son, William Douglas of Altoona, Penn.; grandsons, Michael Douglas of Stratton, Vt., and Timothy Douglas of Falls Church, Penn.; a granddaughter, Karen Douglas of Las Vegas, Nev.; and great-grandchildren, Crystal Douglas, Jacob Douglas, Lukas Douglas, and Emily Mai Ellenson. She is also survived by her stepmother, Mabel Hanlon; stepsister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Fred Stoddard of Southbury; stepbrother, Wesley Hanlon of Roxbury; and many cousins.
There will be a graveside service at noon on Sunday, March 19, at Zoar Cemetery, Route 34 in Sandy Hook.
