Seymour Founderâs Day To Run On Its Rain Date
SEYMOUR â Joan Fowler-Gee says Seymourâs Founderâs Day celebration â postponed from June 6 due to the rain storms that moved through the area â has been â160 years and one week in the making.â
There will be plenty of family fun and interesting activities for all ages as the streets of Historic Downtown Seymour are closed off to car traffic and converted into a very special town-wide festival on Sunday, June 13. The festival will run from 10 am until 5 pm.
Free parking available at Silvermine Industrial Park, with shuttle buses running throughout the day.
The list of participants and planned events continues to grow, and includes over 160 vendors. There will be plenty of live entertainment including music, acts, street performers, dancers and a DJ; Humphreysville Market Place, with antiques, crafters and jewelry dealers; a business and corporate showcase, an antique & classic car exhibit, vintage news reels at The Strand, silent auction, guided tours through Trinity Cemetery, a food court and beer garden; Seymour Historical Society tours, a municipal services showcase, inflatables, airbrush tattoos, face painting, a sidewalk chalk drawing contest, and much more.
