How high does the price of gas have to go before it affects your driving habits? Asked at Newtown Mobil.

Debby Osborne: “It already has. I’m thinking twice about my grocery store and around town trips. I’m trying to be more conscientious.”

Daniel Blanton: “At least a dollar more. But I think they should reduce the tax to help out.”

Ed Kingston: “You’ve got to go to work. It really hasn’t affected me yet.”

Chelsea Maffei: “I think people have started to reduce their speeds. I think most are trying to take a pro-active stance to hopefully make a change in how we use resources. I’m going to park this truck and get a smaller car.”

Joseph McElgunn: “I’m retired so I’m probably not as affected as some people are because I do limit travel to around town. I’m trying to keep the truck about half filled with fuel all the time. My family is affected though because my wife commutes and it’s $60 to $70 a week.”

George Weeks: “I’m a farmer so of course I have noticed all the materials we have to buy to run the business have increased due to the price of oil. I fear what it will do to my business. What are you going to do? I think it is all political.”
