Helen A. (Macri) Castagna, 78, beloved wife of Michael Castagna of Newtown, died July 13, in Masonicare at Newtown, after a long illness. She was born in Norwalk, January 29, 1933, a daughter of Helen (Hendricks) and Frank Macri.
A resident of Newtown since 1978, Mrs Castagna was the owner of the Botsford Drive-In Restaurant in the Botsford section of Newtown for 27 years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs Castagna is survived by two sons, Michael Castagna of Palm Coast, Fla., and Craig Castagna of Semi Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Marisa Castagna McGettigan of Palm Coast, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives. A son, Anthony Castagna, and a daughter, Nanciellen Castagna, predeceased Mrs Castagna.
Funeral services took place July 18. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
