Retired Dog Kennel Supervisor For Town Of Newtown

Robert D. Histon, 87, of Newtown died April 9 in Ashlar of Newtown, where he was a resident the last several years.

Mr Histon was born in Bridgeport on August 7, 1918, and had been a resident of Newtown since 1940. For many years, he was a self-employed painter-decorator. He also was dog kennel supervisor for the Town of Newtown until his retirement. He was one of the original residents of Nunnawauk Meadows.

Mr Histon was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Hiram Masonic Lodge.

He leaves no immediate survivors.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, June 17, in Trinity Episcopal Church.
