St Rose Eighth Graders Graduate

St Rose School’s Class of 2006 celebrated its Graduation Mass on Saturday, June 17.

Academic and scholarship awards were presented. Subject awards for the highest average in religion, math, science, language arts, history, and Spanish were awarded to Joshua Jowdy. The President’s Award for Educational Excellence went to Sonja Hayden and Joshua Jowdy.

The President’s Award for Outstanding Educational Achievement was awarded to Zachary Bokuniewicz, Ryan Cahalane, Michael Kirk, Shannon McCarthy, and Megan Meier.

Michael Kirk was awarded the Excellence in Citizenship Award.

Scholarships for excellence in academic and nonacademic areas, as well as service and leadership, were also presented. Shannon McCarthy received The Sister Julia Kelley Scholarship. The Charles Weiss Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Gabriel Blais and Gabrielle Tejada.

Zachary Bokuniewicz was awarded the Donna DeLuca Scholarship, and Nicholas Martinez and Ryan Cahalane received the Father Stephen Opra Scholarship.
