Warrant

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, a male youth went to the police station on the afternoon of March 5 and was charged with failure to respond to an infraction and with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor on private property, police said.

The arrest stems from an incident last July 16 in the Tamarack Road area in which police investigated a complaint about a loud party and then issued ten teenagers infraction tickets for illegal alcohol possession.

Of the ten youths who were issued the $136 infraction tickets, two of those youths were under age 18. State law shields the identities of people under age 18 who are charged with such offenses, and thus police did not disclose the identity of the boy whom they charged on a warrant on March 5.
