I wrote an e-mail to Herb Rosenthal this past week explaining this problem, asking to look into having two or three speed bumps installed so cars would have no choice but to slow down — the e-mail went unanswered. The cost to do this would be minimal.

I can’t understand how we so boldly increase our taxes in this town and not take care of problems such as this. Taxes are huge problem which I will address in another letter, but the bottom line is we are taxing people like me right out of the community.

In addition, I understand that now a proposal in on the table to pave Washbrook Road. Again, many children live on this road and paving it will create another “cut through” for commuters — we need to keep our “small town feel” and stop paving these roads.
