Police Offer Crime Prevention Advice
Newtown Police Patrol Sergeant Domenic Costello would like to remind residents that the police departmentâs crime prevention unit is available to the public to provide free security assessments for local residences and places of business, when requested.
Members of that unit identify security vulnerabilities that exist at properties and then provide a range of solutions on how those security weaknesses can be resolved, the sergeant said. Such security checks are intended to prevent burglaries from occurring.
Anyone interested in having police perform such a security assessment at their home or business may contact Sgt Costello at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 203-426-5841.
