Another Wonderful Parade
Another Wonderful Parade
To the Editor,
My wife and myself have just returned from another wonderful Labor Day Parade. I must say that the committee and all associated with this event are to be congratulated for the wonderful weather and a job well done.
We were especially pleased that the parade committee had requested that candy and other items not be thrown from the vehicles for the children. It was disappointing to see that there were a number of groups which chose to ignore this request, creating a very serious hazard for small children who are more intent on the candy than on the truck or car moving towards them. Those groups which chose to comply with this request, and there were many, are to be congratulated. It did not appear to be a hardship for them or the children trying to fill their goody bags. I am certain that the parents of these children were appreciative of this effort.
In closing the only thing I can add is âGood Show, Folks.â We are looking forward to next year.
