Log Home Firm To Host Chamber Event

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce will hold its next open house from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, August 3. The location is the Lake Zoar model log home of Jane and Don Sharpe at 62 Underhill Road, Sandy Hook.

Jane Sharpe is the eastern Connecticut and western New York regional representative for Ward Cedar Log Homes, the nation’s oldest log home manufacturer.

The Sharpes provide one-stop service for people building cedar log homes. Services cover the entire process from custom design, drafting, and engineering to mortgage referrals, log home contractors, and construction site visits. This year, in Connecticut, they have homes and additions underway in Bridgeport, Colebrook, Middlefield, Norfolk, Prospect, Sandy Hook, and Seymour.

Chamber members and friends are welcome to tour the Sharpe’s post-and-beam style log home, pick up information (if they like log structures), or just enjoy a summer drink on the waterfront.
