WCSU Black History Month Exhibit
DANBURY â To honor Black History Month 2007, Western Connecticut State University will host âStony the Road: Desegregating Americaâs Schools,â a traveling exhibition chronicling 50 years of school integration.
On loan from The Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia, the exhibit depicts key moments in the history of school desegregation since the Supreme Courtâs Brown v Board of Education decision.
The exhibition will be on view from Thursday, February 1, through Thursday, March 1, in Warner Hall, on Fifth Avenue on the universityâs midtown campus. Visiting hours are from 9 am to 9 pm weekdays and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.
