OXFORD – The Dog Days of Oxford, sponsored by the Oxford Dog Pound Committee, will be held on Saturday, September 16, from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Quaker Farms School on Great Oak Road in Oxford.

Veterinarian technicians from Quinnipiac College will be available for ear cleaning, dental care and nail clippings ($1 per paw). There will be a demonstration by members of the Waterbury Obedience Training Club and a representative of Petsmart in Waterbury will present a seminar on behavioral problems.

The Contact Agility Club will also have equipment set up all day, allowing attendees to try out the course.

There will be many more vendors with special prize drawings and fun dog contests such as Most Obedient, Most Disobedient, Best Kisser, Best Retriever and Most Unique Trick.

Admission donation is $3 for adults and free for children under 12. The donation will give all participants an opportunity to win several door prizes. All proceeds will benefit the welfare of the dogs impounded in the Oxford/Seymour facility.
