Charlene Anne Arietti to Matthew Spengler

Jim and Marcy Arietti of Enfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Charlene Anne Arietti, to Matthew Wayne Spengler, son of Dreux and Susan Spengler of Newtown and Jupiter, Fla.

The future bride graduated from Fermi High School in Enfield. She graduated from Fairfield University in Fairfield with a bachelor of arts in political science and from the University of Connecticut in Storrs with a master’s in public administration. She is a social science analyst at the National Institute of Justice, Office of Research and Evaluation, Department of Justice, in Washington, D.C.

The future bridegroom graduated from Newtown High School. He graduated from Davidson College, Davidson, N.C. with a bachelor of arts in music and from the University of Colorado in Denver with a master’s in public administration. He is a personnel specialist for the United States Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C.

A May 2000 wedding is planned.
