Blizzard 2, Da Bears 1 â Stephanie Sanchez of the Blizzard and Kaitlan Brophy of Da Bears scored the lone goals. Lila Korchman and Molly Mahony played well for the Blizzard while Katherine Scott, Emily Dutt and Jessica McDonald powered Da Bears.
Blizzard 1, Nightmare 0 â Ali Korchman scored in the penalty kick shootout to lead the Blizzard to the win. Katie McMoran had a solid game. For the Nightmare, Erica Green, Alexandra Fogelberg, Courtney Berko and Virginia Trombini had fine performances.
Blizzard 1, Panthers 0 â Madeline Keane led the Blizzard to their third straight penalty kick shootout win. Stephanie Sanchez played well. For the Panthers, Kayla Buckley, Angela Sobotka, Molly McNamara and Kaitlyn Connelly had good games.
Blizzard 2, Hurricanes 1 â The Blizzard captured the E division championship with a shootout win. Ali Korchman scored in regulation for the Blizzard while Madeline Keane, Katie McMoran, Kyra Smith and Emily Rowe played well. For the âCanes, Jamie Keating scored while Samatha Whitley, Alexandra Serapa, Jillian Thompson and Stephanie Arndt played well.

Golden Eagles 6, Rockets 1 â Joshua Barrett scored four goals while Carson Leon-Gambetta and Kevin Dennis each put one away to take the Golden Eagles to victory. The Rockets put up a good fight with a goal from Steven Conway and great action from Michael Senf in midfield and Walter Mansfield in defense.
Nighthawks 1, Roadrunners 0 â Jack Curry scored the only goal with help on offense from Eric Fiore. Josh Villa chipped in with solid midfield play, while Ricky Kerins was strong on defense. For the âRunners, Zach Carfi and Matthew Bolinsky led the offense as Justin Brophy was strong at both ends of the field. Luke Piazza anchored the stingy defense.
Electric Eagles 1, Hawks 0 â Colin Cooper scored for the Electric Eagles with Robert Willis, Reid Higham, and Chris Erikson providing solid defense. The Hawks were tough to beat in the midfield with strong play from Nick Shannon, James Holcomb and Matt Rahtelli.

Lightning 5, Tornadoes 1 â Kelley Gaston and Kendall Svanda scored two goals apiece to lead the Lightning to the win. Hannah Maret added a goal. Maddy Good was strong on D. For the Tornadoes, Kelly Brooks scored the lone goal while Jenna Hindes, Elizabeth Grimes and Juliana Sclafani played great.

Brookfield 1, Roadrunners 0 â Kelly OâConnor, Jillian Jagoe, Julia Klucik and Rebecca Jaroszewski played strong at striker with many shots on goal. Katie OâDell, Sarah Murtha and Emma Kingsley played strong at midfield controlling the ball and feeding the strikers. Kelly Anne Brophy and Allison Pliszka anchored the strong defense with Casey Rutter defending the goal.
Roadrunners 2, New Fairfield 2 â Allison Pliszka and Sarah Attanasio scored the goals for Newtown while Katie OâDell, Sarah Murtha and Emma Kingsley played strong at midfield. Kelly OâConnor, Rebecca Jaroszewski and Rebecca Castegner played great at defense with Shannon Paproski playing strong in goal.

Strikers 2, Brookfield (B) 1 â Kai Aschick and Eric Thornberg (penalty kick) scored to lead the Strikers to the win. Michael Gould played well in offense and Kyle Wildman and Ishan Titake both did an excellent job in goal.
Strikers 9, Woodbury/Bethlehem (B) 0 â Eric Thornberg and Kyle Moore scored two goals apiece while Michael Gould, Tony Vacaro, Patrick Fay, Daniel Lynch and Nick Wright each added a solo goal to lead the Strikers. Josh Engler and James Truckle had assists and Kyle Wildman played well.

Rampage 5, New Fairfield 0 â Monica Warek scored a pair of goals while Laura Bittman (off a nifty cross from Kate Bowen), Taylor Smith (off a drop pass from Ellen Ritzinger) and Hannah Basch-Gould (penalty kick) scored one apiece to lift the Rampage to the win. Jordyn Good and Katie Pessin combined in goal for the shutout with the aid of Ally Modzelewski and Berenice Bryant on D.
Rampage 0, Woodbury 0 â Sara Kelly, Kirsten Hudock, Laetitia de Brantes and Chelsea Fay played well on offense, but couldnât find the net. Katie Pessin made eight saves and registered the shutout.

Nightmare 1, Waterbury 1 â Andrew Meisel scored the only Newtown goal in the first half. Ethan Carotti, Joe Cappiello, Michael Kearns and Chris Marks led the defense.
Nightmare 3, Hamden 0 â Scoring came from Conor McManus, Zack Brazo and Mickey Fay. Mickâs goal was a beautiful head shot off a corner kick from Kurt Nacewicz. Chris Parker, Dana Ress, John Gouveia and Jason Kostecki played well.
Nightmare 9, Branford 0 â Conor McManus scored three goals while Andrew Domingos and Andrew Meisel had two each to lead Newtown. Ryan Goodridge and Kurt Nacewicz also scored. The mid-field controlled this game by passing the ball all over the field. Dayton Horvath and Mickey Fay helped that attack.
New Haven 2, Nightmare 0 â The Nightmare had chances, but fell in the title game of the bracket.

Hurricanes 1 Danbury 0 â A perfect cross from Casey Schulz to Nora Lynn Shimko early in the game led to the only score. Emily Weber, Katie Serock, and Sarah Shannon had great games and goalie Jen Brewer saved the win by stopping a Danbury penalty kick in the waning moments of the second half.

Samba TTP
Samba 2, Simsbury 0 â Danny Smith and Kyle Dinicola shared the shutout in goal while Patrick Houston and Justin Miller scored the goals. Drew Taylor, Max Hoagland, Alex Bowen and Kenneth Lombardi were solid in the midfield while Brett Lehner and Mike Vontobel split sweeper and defensive midfielder duties and both played well. The win clinches the Sambas a spot in next yearâs U14 Division 1 grouping.

Southbury 1, Nitros 0 (State Cup Final) â It was a defensive battle throughout regulation, two golden goal overtime periods and on into the penalty kick shootout. It took all five shots in the shoot off on both teams to decide this yearâs State Cup champ â Southbury. The defense of keeper Caryn Lieberman, sweeper Erica Vacaro, and backs Meghan Miller and Heather Young stood out while Kelly Bradley, Rachel Maley, Jen Greenwood, Allison Bull, Emma Johnson, and Amelia Taylor powered the offense. Mid-fielders Kristine Salbu and Jen Iasoggna effectively held the middle with strong defensive and offensive play.
Nitros 5, Watertown 0 â Allison Bull, Rachel Maley, Amelia Taylor (from Olga Virgalla), Christine Salbu and Erica Vacaro (from Julie Landon) all scored as the Nitros blasted Watertown.
Danbury 2, Nitros 0 â Kelly Bradley, Rachel Maley, and Allison Bull powered the offense in a loss to Danbury. Defensively, keeper Caryn Lieberman made several great saves while Erica Vacaro, Jen Iasoggna, and Meghan Miller helped breakup several strong attacks by Danbury.
Girls U16
Newtown 6, Danbury 0 â Newtown opened the scoring after just 30 seconds on a long shot from Kaitlyn Ferguson. Ferguson, Rachel Eastman and Emma McHugh scored in the first half while Rose Jackman and Kayla Mesko rounded out the scored in the second half.
Torrington 3, Newtown 0 â Rachel Eastman, Caitlin Hansen, Emily Fields and Kristina Haliskoe all had excellent games for Newtown in a loss to Torrington.
