Family Counseling Center Offers Workshop On 'Healthy Aging'
Family Counseling Center Offers
Workshop On âHealthy Agingâ
The Family Counseling Center, a non-profit mental health agency serving the greater Danbury area, will present a free public workshop, âHealthy Aging,â October 12, at 7 pm in the community meeting room of the C.H. Booth Library in Newtown.
For many seniors, retirement, changes in their health or financial status, or the loss of friends and family members provides a new and often unexpected set of challenges and stress in their lives. Pamela Evans, MFT, will focus on the positive aspects of aging and provide inspiration for adults over 50. She will examine how to improve seniorsâ physical, mental, social, and financial health, and emphasize the theme that it is never too late to achieve a better quality of life.
The workshop will benefit both seniors and their family members in learning how to make the most of this new phase of life. For more information, call the Family Counseling Center at 426-8103.
