SCE Concert Will Jazz Up Thanksgiving

Sherman Chamber Ensemble (SCE) will present “The Best of Sherman Chamber Ensemble Jazz” over Thanksgiving weekend, highlighting compositions by Bach, Schubert, Piazzolla and others, as well as songs by Gershwin. The concert will feature jazz pianist Ted Rosenthal, drummer Chris Parker, flutist Susan Rotholz, and cellist Eliot Bailen, artistic director and founder of SCE.

Free matinee performances will be offered on Saturday, November 25, at 4 pm, at Sherman Congregational Church, 5 Church Road (off Route 39), Sherman; and Sunday, November 26, at 3 pm, at St Andrew’s Church, 1 North Main Street, Kent (intersection of Routes 7 and 341).

The family matinee is SCE’s annual weekend celebration of Thanksgiving, and is offered to foster a community feeling through music and to hear music the way it was meant to be heard: live!
