Peter C. Murphy, Jr, 38, of Milford, beloved husband of 11 years of Jennifer (Moritz) Murphy, died November 27 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Mr Murphy was born on October 12, 1968, in Staten Island, N.Y., son of Peter and Patricia (Cosimo) Murphy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, and his two children, Caitlynn and Justin Murphy of Milford; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard and Linda Moritz of Newtown; his parents, Peter and Patricia Murphy of North Carolina; and his sister, Jennifer O’Brien and her husband, Matthew, of Oxford.

He was a graduate of the University of Montana with a bachelor’s degree. He then worked for Prudential Financial as a financial analyst.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, December 1, from 4 pm to 7 pm, in Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad Street, Milford. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home.
