The Queen Street Debacle

To the Editor:

I’ve lived in this town a long time, though some may say 20 years is not enough to render criticism, but to continue on my path of political incorrectness, this Queen Street debacle promotes more problems than it solves. For those who have experienced the tranquility of the street before “over-development/prevailing self interests,” I feel your pain. However, regarding the reminder who have recently purchased, built, or renovated your childhood home on Queen, live with your decision rather than ever complaining over your own shortsightedness. Instead, you have chosen the path of spending our tax dollars on “traffic studies.” Leave the Glover/Queen Street intersection as is, it works just fine.

Also in regard to the flagpole intersection, try continuing on to the light at Main and Route 302 if one hasn’t the time or common sense. Most importantly — said by many — slow down.

Sincerely

Philip Palilla
