Robert H. Quinn

Raised In Newtown

Robert H. Quinn, 77, died on December 10 in Florida. He was the son of Hugh and Jessica Quinn.

Mr Quinn was born and raised in Newtown and remained here until after his graduation from Newtown High School. He enlisted in the US Army and was assigned to embassy duty in the United States, Costa Rica, LaPaz, Bolivia, and Thailand until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Gabrielle R. Cazeau; three sons, Robert P. Quinn and his wife, Liz, of Kensington, Md., Michael J. Quinn of Va., and Kevin Quinn and his wife, Vange, of Va.; one daughter, Colleen M. Quinn; two sisters, Dorothy Q. Cavanaugh of the Botsford section of Newtown, and Catherine Q. White of Clearwater, Fla.; and two grandsons, Sean and Thomas Quinn.

He was predeceased by his first wife Helen O’Brien Quinn; and a brother, Hugh Quinn, Jr.

A private memorial service was held.
