She is also survived by a great-niece, Corrine Martins; and two great-nephews, Carlos Martins, Jr, and Connor Martins, all of Brookfield. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Danbury Hospital ICU, including John, Jane, and Kerry, who ensured Mrs Gereg’s comfort in her final hours. Their proficiency and compassion are unsurpassed and will not be forgotten.

Funeral services took place Thursday, January 25, at St Marguerite Bourgeouys Church, Brookfield. Burial followed in St Peter’s Cemetery.

Green Funeral Home, Main Street, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
