Newtown resident Katie Temple is set to compete in the Aquafina Team Challenge, New England’s largest amateur women’s gymnastics event.

She and her teammates from Gymnastics Revolution in Bethel will join over 1,100 gymnasts from throughout the northeast who will be gathering at the O’Neill Center on the Danbury campus of Western Connecticut State University this weekend.

Competitors of all levels (USAG levels 4-10) will be vying for individual and team trophies with performances on the balance beam, floor, uneven parallel bars and vault throughout the weekend. Tickets are available at the door for $12 (adult) and $5 (child) each day or $20 (adult) and $6 (child) for the weekend.
