Elevator Rescue Crew Thanked

To the Editor,

I am writing to give my heartfelt thanks to the EMTs and firefighters who rescued me and my family from the Edmond Town Hall’s elevator on Saturday, June 3. My 88-year-old grandmother was with us. Thank you for treating her so kindly, I am so grateful.

The town hall manager, Tom Mahoney, however, was unable to conduct himself in a professional manner. He was rude and made a bad situation worse. Someone in his position should be able to remain calm and level-headed in an emergency.

Thank you again for the compassion of the rescue personnel, the staff of the Lathrop School of Dance, and the Newtown Police.

Sincerely,

Kathy Anderson
