NEW MILFORD — “Partnering With Your Essential Business Resources” will be the focus of a free seminar May 20 by the New Milford-based Housatonic 50th Chapter of BNI, Business Network International. The group’s series, “Success: Sink or Swim In These Challenging Times… It’s Your Choice” is offering its final interactive seminar to help area business owners and business people succeed,

The free program will be held from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Holiday Restaurant.

“The ambition of the series,” explained BNI Chapter President Katherine Webster-O’Keefe, “is to provide fast, tactical advice and counsel on ways to grow a business, manage costs effectively, transition careers, and how to achieve growth and enduring financial security.”

The final program is designed to help business people and businesses cultivate strategies for growth and financial flexibility. “Partnering With Your Essential Business Resources, will begin with “Achieving Growth Through Strategic Alliances,” presented by Richard Scaldini, PhD, founder and president of Spearpoint Strategy Advisors, LLC in Warren.

Mr Scaldini will focus on achieving growth and enduring financial security through business investments that include acquisitions, sales, mergers, and joint ventures.

The second portion of the program, “Insurance — A Misunderstood Tool to Strengthen Your Business,” will be presented by Kurt Steiger, financial services consultant with New York Life in New Milford and Stratford.

Mr Steiger will provide insight into how to utilize and coordinate an insurance program to strengthen a business and prepare for unforeseen events.

“Teamwork, How to Develop a Team of Trusted Advisors” will be the third portion of the program. Richard Herrington, president of Nicholas-Tobin & Associates in New Milford and Kent, will focus on the “Four Circles of Influence” every business owner needs to cultivate.

Learn who your advisors are, their roles, and their interactions, to ensure that your business is receiving the best advice.

Attendees to the May 20 program will also have opportunities to speak and network with other successful business leaders who are supporting the series.
