Patricia Ann   Duefrene

Recognized Photographer And Graphic Artist

Patricia Ann Duefrene, 57, formerly of Monroe, died October 21 at her home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, after a long and courageous battle against multiple sclerosis. Born on August 20, 1949, in Monroe, she was the daughter of Edward and Lillian Duefrene.

Ms Duefrene is survived by two sisters, Susan Dowling of Newtown and Diane Mavricz of Naugatuck; and several nieces and nephews.

She moved to Hawaii in 1972 to pursue her career as a photographer and graphic artist. She was very successful and eventually opened her own business, Kona Designs. Throughout her career Ms Duefrene was highly recognized and received several awards for her work.

Friends may greet her family Friday, November 10, from 10 to 11 am, in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. A memorial service will be held at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Stepney Village Cemetery, Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Animal Center, PO Box 475, Newtown CT 06470.
