Auditions At Theater Barn

RIDGEFIELD — Open auditions for Anthony Shaffer’s Sleuth, a Tony Award-winner for Best Play, will be held at Ridgefield Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane, on Sunday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 17, from 7 to 9 pm each night.

A classic “who, what and how dunnit” parody, Sleuth tells the comic tale of a crime writer’s murderous games with his wife’s younger lover, leaving bodies on the carpet, blood on the stairs, and detectives at the door.

There are roles for four men: Andrew Wyke, 45-55; Milo Tindle, 35-40; Inspector Doppler, Detective Sargent Tarrant and Constable Higgs. Actors should be able to do English accents.

Rehearsals will be held evenings and some weekends from mid-July until opening night. Performances will be Friday and Saturday evenings, September 7-29, with Sunday matinees on September 9 and 16. Additional

performances may be added.

Directions to the theater at TheaterBarn.org.
