Craftsmen Programs At Putnam Park

REDDING — The Friends of Putnam Park are sponsoring the 2007 Putnam Park Summer Craftsmen Program at Putnam Park weekends in July and August. For the annual program, Colonial era craftsmen or reenactors take turns demonstrating their subject at the park’s Visitor Center, near the intersection of Routes 58 and 107.

Programs begin Saturday and Sunday, July 7–8, with Military Camp Life. Reenactors from Butler’s Rangers will demonstrate basic skills that were necessary for soldiers during the American Revolution, including how to load and fire muskets.
