DANBURY - The Women's Center of Greater Danbury, Incorporated is sponsoring two free weekly college safety workshops Monday, August 11, from 7 to 9 pm, and Tuesday, August 12, from 11 am to 1 pm.
DANBURY â The Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury, Incorporated is sponsoring two free weekly college safety workshops Monday, August 11, from 7 to 9 pm, and Tuesday, August 12, from 11 am to 1 pm.
All regional college-bound students and their families are encouraged to attend to learn about basic safety tips, risk reduction, and date rape drugs. Danbury Police Officer John Krupinksy and Kristen Selleck, Womenâs Center community educator, will present the programs.
The Womenâs Center has been providing continuous, free services to greater Danbury residents for 27 years. In addition to workshops, the center offers individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, prevention and education programs, two 24-hour hotlines, and a referral helpline.
