5 â Canine Advocates of Newtown will present the Keep On Truckinâ on Sunday, August 5, from 12 noon to 5 pm, at Fairfield Hills. Itâs a Touch a Truck, Car Show and more. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. There will be police cars, the DARE car, a police motorcycle and K-9 car, a fire truck, ambulance, Underwater Search & Rescue vehicle, Army trucks, dump trucks, a backhoe, tractor and more. There will also be a Police Crime Prevention & Safety Booth with information table on Chip (Child ID Program). A demonstration by Newtown K-9 dog, Baro, will be featured and attendees can meet Joanna Hehirâs Service Dogs, Lucy & Gandollff from 3 to 5 pm. There will be various vendors, air brushing by Robert Lee Harris, massage therapy & Reiki by Ellen Adriani, photography by Michelle Belknap and John Tucci, face painting by Sally Lynn MacDonald, a tattoo booth, inflatable bouncing station, and Military style ID Dog Tags for your pet or child or luggage. 14 â The Middlebury Bridle Land Association will be holding its annual Fall Hunter Pace on Sunday, October 14, at Larkinâs Farm, South Street, Middlebury. The ride is open to all riders, and helmets and negative coggins are required. All jumps have go-arounds. 28 â The Newtown Bridle Lands Association will hold its Frost On The Pumpkin pace will be held Sunday, October 28, from 8 am to 12 noon, on Mount Nebo Road. All riders are encouraged to ride in costume as prizes will be award for best costumed team, the oldest hors & rider combination, and the youngest rider (for the âPeanutâ award).
