Garner Inmate Charged With Assault

State police report they went to Garner Correctional Institution on the afternoon of August 23 to investigate a report of an inmate having assaulted a correction officer.

After investigating at the high-security prison at 50 Nunnawauk Road, state police charged inmate Troy Jaynes, 39, with assault on a correction officer. Neither the officer, nor Jaynes, were injured in the incident, according to state police.

Jaynes was scheduled to be arraigned the following day at Danbury Superior Court.
