Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

Chris Lyddy has shown that he is the kind of legislator that Newtown needs. As a member of the Newtown Board of Education and as a parent, I have seen Chris clearly demonstrate his support for education both in word and deed. His efforts in Hartford were an important part of the recent passage of bills improving special education and strengthening our high schools.

Chris has also provided the kind of leadership that Newtown needs on the other critical issues facing us: the environment, jobs, and controlling taxes. Whether it is protecting the Hawleyville aquifer, achieving more sensible siting of cell towers, or working for a sensible state budget, Chris has gotten the job done.

Despite his accomplishments, I believe Chris’s greatest asset is his desire and ability to work openly with everyone, transcending party lines. In a time where many seem to want to put their party before the good of all people, we desperately need people like Chris in government.

I support Christopher Lyddy for State Representative and hope that you will to.
