If you’re a soccer fan, or if you’re looking for some great family fun, Blue and Gold Stadium is the place to be this fall.

The third annual Soccerfest will be held Tuesday, October 2, starting at 5 pm. The Newtown boys will take on Masuk and in addition to outstanding soccer, Soccerfest will feature a silent auction, raffles, events for kids, halftime entertainment and a chance to win fabulous prizes! This year’s auction items include Jets football tickets (five tickets, plus a parking pass); a U.S. Olympic jersey signed by Landon Donovan, Carlos Bocanegra, Coby Jones, and others; a golf club; a “martini” basket; a membership to Bethel Sportsplex; Yoga classes, and a cocktail party for 10, including two staff (value $450). So grab your stadium blanket – or buy one at Soccerfest! – and come early for a fun-filled event for the whole family.

Reggae Night will be held Thursday, October 11, starting at 6 pm. The Newtown boys soccer team will battle Pomperaug at 7 pm, but the pre-game show will feature a live performance by Voice of the Ghetto.

Tailgate Night will be Thursday, October 18, starting at 5pm. Pack your picnic basket and head to the Newtown High School parking lot for the first annual pre-game Tailgate Night at Newtown High School. Come early for a good spot and a good time! A prize will be awarded for the most creative tailgate (remember, no alcohol on school property).

And Senior Night will be Monday, October 22, starting at 6 pm. Join in the festivities as the fans pay tribute to the varsity seniors. Then grab a seat as the Newtown boys take on Brookfield at 7 pm.
