BOSTON, MASS. â The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will present the Robert J. Boardingham Memorial Lecture, âNew Light on Picasso: Wife vs Mistress,â Wednesday, November 14, at 6:30 pm.
The lecture features John Richardson, author of A Life of Picasso, The Triumphant Years, 1917â1932, and George Shackelford, chair of art of Europe and the Arthur K. Solomon Curator of Modern Art.
âMy work is my diary,â said Picasso. Join the conversation as Picasso biographer Richardson and curator Shackelford discuss Picasso at the height of his powers, from the late teens to the 1930s, amid his ladies, patrons and artist friends.
The third volume of Richardsonâs definitive biography draws on his close friendship with Picasso and unprecedented access to the artistâs studio and unpublished papers and photographs. Book signing to follow.
