Brookfield Holiday Fair December 4-5

BROOKFIELD CENTER — Members of Brookfield Historical Society will welcome the public for this year’s Annual Historical Society Holiday Fair during the first weekend of December.

Doors to the two-day event will be open from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, December 4, and 11 am to 2 pm on Sunday, December 5, at the historical society’s museum, located at the junction of routes 25 and 133 in Brookfield Center.

According to event organizer Marilyn Whittlesey, “The fair offers unique selections for holiday gift items and decorations and also provides and opportunity for our visitors to come to the museum and see what we are all about.”

The sale will include live wreaths, poinsettias, handmade ornaments, food and baked goods, items from grandma’s attic, and unique Brookfield gifts as well as many other selections not readily found in stores.

The Museum Gift Shop will also be selling pottery, books, maps, coverlets, and Christmas note cards with ink drawings by the late local Brookfield artist Cole Bradley and many other items celebrating the history of Brookfield such as an 1861 reproduced Brookfield Civil War era flag. In addition a number of CDs produced by musical artists with strong ties to Brookfield community such as Bill Tobin and Robert H. Miller will be on hand.

Admission is free and proceeds from the sale go toward funding future events presented by the historical society.
