SCAN Art Show Continues Through January 27
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtownâs (SCAN) exhibition known as the Color in January Art Show will continue through Sunday, January 27, at Lexington Gardens at 32 Church Hill Road.
The show presents many examples of SCAN membersâ original artworks.
The Color in January Art Show is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm.
The public is invited to meet SCAN artists and view the artworks which are on display inside the Lexington Gardens building.
SCAN will provide free demonstrations of fine artists producing art on Saturday, January 26, and Sunday, January 27, on each day at 12:30 pm.
On January 26, artist Vince Giarrano will demonstrate oil painting of a still life subject. On January 27, artist Beverly Branch will demonstrate acrylic portraiture.
The art show opened opened on January 19. Show chair is Sandra Scott.
SCAN is a nonprofit organization that promotes fine art in western Connecticut by sponsoring workshops, classes, exhibits, and twice-monthly demonstrations by professional artists.
