Newtown Students Named To WestConn Dean’s List

Twenty-five Newtown residents and 19 Sandy Hooks residents were named to the Western Connecticut State University Dean’s List for the fall 2007 semester. Among Newtown residents are Richard W. Andrews, a finance major; Tamra L. Brennan, a marketing major; Lauren A. D’Amico, a communications major, and Rebecca L. Davila, who majors in management.

Alexandra N. Doniger, majoring in secondary education and english literature; Timothy J. Frawley, an accounting major; Nicole M. Labrozzi, a communications and human relations major; Lauren J. Mattegat, a marketing major; and William M. McDermott, who majors in history, all earned places on the Dean’s List.

Other Newtown residents named to list include Suzanne D. Monroe, a professional writing major; Daniel S. Mortensen, who majors in political science; Adam B. Nanavaty, a music education major; Kimberly A. Parrilla, a marketing major; and Christopher J. Prorock, and Diana B. Rawson, who both major in psychology.

Elementary education and history major Alyssa R. Scalora also earned a place on the Dean’s List, as did health education major Nicole M. Sieber, meterology major Zachariah Silver, computer science major Lauren A. Staple, and biology major James W. Tanner.                               

Finally, Jennifer L. Thompson, majoring in elementary education and psychology; Karen E. Whippie, also a psychology major; Katelyn M. Wise, an exploratory studies major; Aristotel Zoto, a secondary education and history major; and Orges Zoto, whose major is management were all named to the dean’s list at WestConn.

From Sandy Hook, residents Jessica S. Cappiello, an English and American and comparative literatures major; Alexander P. Caruso, who majors in management; Kathryn A. Fullman, a secondary education and social sciences major; Taylor R. Gunn, a secondary education and English literature major; and elementary education and psychology major Sarah M. Hemingway also earned places on the Dean’s List.

So did Scott R. Jackson, an art major; theater arts major Kayla E. Koschel; Kimberley Lamoureux, who majors in nursing; professional writing major Marie L. LaRock; and management major Mark T. Maruschak.

Other Sandy Hook residents named to the WestConn Dean’s List include Melissa C. Metzger, a nursing major; Rebecca A. Narel, who majors in justice and law administration; Andrea M. Portanova, an art major; social work major Rebecca N. Singer; and management major Justin L. Spakowski.

Finally, Evan G. Valente, an art major, James E. Webb, a management information systems major, and justice and law administration major Paula J. Wickman round out the list.
