NEW HAVEN, CONN. — The Yale Center for British Art will present the exhibition “The Lure Of The East: British Orientalist Painting, 1830–1925,” on view February 7–April 27.

“The Lure of the East” explores encounters between Nineteenth Century British artists and the people and places of the Middle East. Tate Britain organized the exhibition in partnership with the Yale Center for British Art, the British Council, the Pera Museum, Istanbul and the Sharjah Art Museum, United Arab Emirates.
