PHILADELPHIA, PENN. — The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts’ Art-at-Lunch talk on American art and culture on Wednesday, February 6, from noon to 1 pm, will address “The Only Miss Beaux: Photographs of Cecilia Beaux and Her Circle.”

The photograph albums of Cecilia Beaux are a rich trove of images of the artist and her circle of friends and colleagues. Academy Archivist Cheryl Leibold illustrates the life and career of this pioneering artist as documented in her scrapbooks, many of which are owned by the academy. After the lecture, view assorted documents and papers of Beaux’s on view in the Fisher Brooks Gallery.
