Anthony C. Neri

Anthony C. Neri, 93, of Stratford, retired owner and operator of Neri Advertising, died on June 2 at Bridgeport Hospital.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Helen Franzo Neri; a son, Anthony S. Neri and his wife, Joyce, of Newtown; two daughters, Gloria Melli and her husband, Michael, and Rosanne Neri and William E. Weissauer, all of Stratford; a daughter-in-law, Susan Neri of Fairfield; grandchildren, Jennifer Olimpieri and her husband, Carl, Anthony P. Neri, Alan Unger, Rachel Brochu and her husband, Eugene, Jeremy K. Saladyga, Ian A. Saladyga, Michael Melli, Jr, and his wife, Ann, Karen Ferraro and her husband, Albert, and Lisa DiNardo and her husband, Peter; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 11, 1911, he was a son of the late Bruno and Lillian Neri. A former resident of Bridgeport and Fairfield before moving to Stratford, he was a member of the Toastmasters International, the BPOE #36, and a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.

In 1972 Mr Neri proudly received his BA from the University of New Haven.

Funeral services took place on June 4 from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull, and in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
