Attorney Kelleher 16, Carquest 4 – Lauren Johnson belted a home run to lead Kelleher to the win. For Carquest, Jenna Himmelfarb had a pair of hits.

My Place Pizza 15, Carquest 12 – Katie Midlik pitched well and Rachel Marcucilli was solid in the field to lead My Place to the win. Kaitlin Marsden and Becky Sampson hit the ball hard. For Carquest, Rachel Warburton collected a pair of triples while Tyler Brindley had three hits and three RBI. Kelsey Daniels pitched solidly.

My Place Pizza 19, Air Tech 5 – Becky Sampson had a pair of hits and three runs scored to lead My Place to the win. Christina Beck pitched well and Maxx Zimmer anchored the defense. For Air Tech, Jessica Rockwell paced the offense, Makena Cunningham ran the bases well, and Lindsay Green played well behind the dish.

U12

Dental Associates 13, Drug Center 7 – Ally Modzelewski had three hits and homered to lead Dental Associates to the win. Rachel Ruiz and Megan Murphy collected two hits apiece and Scarlett O’Sullivan drove in three runs. For Drug Center, Abby Keough made a fine catch in left field as Sabrina Yudelson played well behind the plate.

Brookfield Dental 10, Burton Builders 3 – Nicole Escoda and Megan Murphy combined for five hits to lead Brookfield Dental to the win. Nicole Elias pitched well while Sara Smith and Jenna Buonocorso anchored the D. For Burton, Marissa Cascella, Taylor Johnson and Kelly Burton played well.

Newtown Phonebook 14, Ricci’s Salon & Spa 6 – Kathy Townsend and Karina Cardella drove in three runs apiece while Emily Dutt and Linnea Pearson anchored a strong defense for the Phonebook. Kristen Errico allowed one run in three innings work on the mound. For Ricci’s, Lindsay McCoy and Morghan Moroney pitched well as Samantha DeFilippe banged out two hits and Kristen Lynch sparkled in the field.

Newtown Phonebook 17, LRM Landscaping 12 – Margaret Sullivan and Kristen Errico banged out three hits apiece and Kathy Townsend drove in three runs to lead Phonebook. Jackie Kissack, and Meghan Condon turned in fine defensive plays. For LRM, Stephanie Arndt and Erin Kramer drove in two runs apiece while Courtney Amaral and Victoria Braga Each had two hits and two runs scored.

Newtown Phonebook 17, LRM Landscaping 4 – Caitlin D’eramo and Rebecca Bloom sparkled in the field and backed up the solid pitching of Margaret Sullivan and Kristen Errico to lead Phonebook to the win. For LRM, Gabby Mason had three hits and two RBI and Courtney Amaral had two hits and two runs scored as Miryam Wilson and Victoria Braga led the defense.

Karen’s Fitness 9, Ricci’s Salon 3 – Sheena Finlayson and Alyssa Buda powered the defense and led Karen’s Fitness to the win. Michelle Margait and Morgan D’avola pitched well. For Ricci’s, Maris Saravis and Ava Rojo hit the ball hard as Kristen Lynch had a key rally-ending catch to spark the D. Aria Brownell played well.

U10

Newtown Hardware 10, Executive Power Equipment 4 – Morgan Hopper had a two-run hit and Lydia Post added a long double to lead Newtown Hardware. Jenna Poeltl and Katie Guaragno also hit hard. For Executive Power Equipment, Jessica Jowdy pitched well and had a big hit as Kelly Brassard, Erica Knapp and Kelly O’Sullivan also hit safely.

Newtown Hardware 10, People’s Bank 9 – Erin Kenning got the only hit for Newtown Hardware and Marissa Cardella scored twice in a game marred by 17 bases on balls. Lydia Post was hit twice by pitched balls and was on base all four times she was up. For People’s Bank, Claire Miles hit the ball hard and went 3-for-3. Melissa Davilia scored twice and Samantha Rohrbacher and Emily Anderson had good all around play.

Keno Graphics 18, People’s Bank 5 – Megan Duero ripped a strong double and Ali Kennedy went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles to lead Keno. Katie Tomascak saved a certain hit with a great play on first base. Erin Begg pitched two innings and struck out six. For People’s, Jade Mather went 1-for-3 and pitched well off the mound and Zoe Eggleston went 2-for-3. Michaela Guinee and Melissa Davila also played well scoring one run each.

Keno Graphics 10, Rich’s Keys & Locks 5 – Ali Kennedy belted a three-run homer and Erin Begg clubbed a pair of line drive doubles to lead Keno. Mallorie Dunn scored two runs as Courtney Escoda had a strong hit. For Rich’s, Abbey Doski went 2-for-2 and struck out six batters. Katie Appley also did a good job on the mound and Dianna Carozza played well in the field.

Keno Graphics 4, Villa Restaurant 4 – Megan Duero doubled and singled to lead Keno to the win. Tara Dawley, Maggie Kennedy, Erin Beg and Ali Kennedy each had hits for Keno. For Villa, Ashley Cirone pitched three innings while contributing two hits. Supporting her with one hit apiece was Katelyn Dandrea, Megan Davis and Georgia Contis.

Student

Ferris Mulch versus JP Morgan Chase – Julia Frattaroli, Olivia Ingham and Meghan Schumacher played well for Ferris while Ceila Gold, Anna Jannott and Sophie Johnston played well for JP Morgan.

Newtown Sluggers versus Century 21 – Morgan Macchiarulo and Sara Braga led the Slugger’s offense as Mary Joe Rossi pitched well. For Century 21, Sarah Clements had a fine pitching effort as Emma Cizmazia and Amy McGurke each went 4-for-4 at the plate.

Newtown Sluggers versus Newtown Insurance – Kayla O’Grady pitched two strong innings while Caroline Poulter and Mackenzie Lapp collected two hits apiece to lead the Sluggers. For Newtown Insurance, Sarah Lynch pitched well while Stephanie Devaney went 2-for-2 at the plate. Anna Guaragno played well in the field.

Tryouts

Tryouts for the U14 travel team will be held Saturday, May 21, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, at Fairfield Hills. Any questions, call Nancy Bowen at 426-7101.
