Devoted To Family

Margaret “Peggy” (Hunyadi) Dean of Stratford died suddenly March 20 in her home. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Bavelock) Hunyadi, and was a Bridgeport resident most of her life before moving to Stratford five years ago.

Survivors include her brother, Richard Hunyadi of Sandy Hook; her sister, Carol Syrgiannis and husband, Peter, of Seymour; her beloved children, Denise Diaz and husband, Carlos, of Shelton, Frank F. Dean, Jr, of Bridgeport, Richard Dean and wife, Katie, of Fairfield, Diane Dean and companion, Christopher Nadhazi, and John Dean, all of Stratford; her loving grandchildren, Marissa Gebeau and Deanna Diaz of Shelton, Ryan, Jack, and James Dean of Fairfield; her aunt, Ethel Bede of Bridgeport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Ms Dean was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will always be remembered for her devotion and unconditional love to her five children and five grandchildren. She touched the lives of everyone she met and will be greatly missed by those who loved her and all who knew her.

 Funeral services were held March 25 in St Andrew’s Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment was in St Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
